Alcomotive appoints Olivier Sermeus as new COO
The new Chief Operating Officer will be in charge of all commercial activities from our car- & LCV-brands.

Damien Heymans, the Alcomotive Managing Director, announced today the appointment of Olivier Sermeus as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Olivier will combine his new role with his existing function as Managing Director of Hyundai Belux.
Olivier has been in the Alcopa group since June 2009, where he started as the Hyundai Belux Country Manager. Over the years he was promoted Managing Director and he took on extra responsibilities including Business Development. As such, he was strongly involved in the roll-out of our latest brands Maxus & MG in our portfolio.
The Alcomotive COO will be coordinating all distribution activities from Hyundai, Suzuki, SsangYong, Isuzu, MG and Maxus. This means that the Managing Directors of those brands will report directly to the COO.
As the new COO, Olivier Sermeus will take the final responsibility of the performance of our 6 brands operating in 6 countries. He will be in charge of our commercial ambitions and he will develop possible synergies across our different brands and business areas.
Damien Heymans commented on the COO appointment:
‘This new position is very important for the future of Alcomotive and its activities. The COO will work towards more streamlining and a closer collaboration amongst our people. I’m convinced that this will result in a better performance, higher customer satisfaction, and more efficiency. With his long and successful track record at Alcomotive, Olivier Sermeus is the right man for the job to guide our brands towards our ambitious goals.’
