Astara Appoints Thomas Odier to Lead Commercial Activities in Belgium and Luxembourg

Kontich, 24 March 2025 – Astara is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Odier as Commercial Director of its activities in Belgium and Luxembourg and effective as from 1 April.

With over 20 years of international experience in the automotive industry, Thomas brings a wealth of expertise across OEM, distributor, and retail sectors. He joins Astara following his positions as Managing Director – European Brands at Stellantis Middle East, where he managed a diverse portfolio that included Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Citroën, Fiat, Leap Motor, Peugeot, and Opel. His leadership was instrumental in driving market expansion, increasing brand awareness, and boosting sales across key markets, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Lebanon.

Prior to Stellantis, Thomas served as the head of Swiss operations for Fiat, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, and Lancia at Astara Ital Switzerland AG. During this time, he played a crucial role in transforming the business model for sustainable future growth.

Thomas will report directly to Olivier Sermeus, Managing Director of Astara Western Europe. ​ In his new role at Astara he will oversee the Country Managers of Astara’s different brands in Belgium and Luxembourg, as well as the Fleet, Sales Support, and Dealer Network Development teams. His leadership is expected to drive continued growth and innovation within the Belux market.
