Kontich, 10 September 2024. Astara Western Europe, a leading automotive distributor, today announced the appointment of Patrick Reimers as Country Director Germany, effective immediately. Reimers will be responsible for leading and expanding Astara’s import and distribution operations across Germany.

Reimers brings 19 years of experience in the automotive industry. He started his career in 2005, when joining the global headquarters of SEAT SA in Barcelona, and since has held key roles at European, American and Asian OEMs, leading him to several countries and bringing him extensive cross-cultural skills. His career includes positions at Great Wall Motor, FCA and Hyundai Motor Europe.

As Country Director Germany, Reimers will report directly to Olivier Sermeus, Managing Director of Astara Western Europe. The Country Managers of Isuzu, Maxus, Microlino and KGM Germany will report directly to Reimers in his new role.

Reimers was born in Hamburg (Germany), where he studied Business Administration & Foreign Trade. Later-on, he obtained an MBA in International Business in London, and a PhD degree in Economics in Madrid. He will be based in Astara’s Flörsheim am Main (Frankfurt) office.
