Microlino
Smart mobility solution in charming design

- New impulses for resource-saving urban mobility
- Three battery variants for a range of up to 230 km
- Further high-quality equipment lines underscore versatility
The Microlino provides new impulses for smart, low-impact mobility in narrow inner cities and urban spaces. As a pioneer in micro-mobility, the compact two-seater combines the advantages of a car – comfort, space and protection from the elements – with the manoeuvrability and small footprint of a motorcycle.
The light electric vehicle offers an intelligent, practical and environmentally friendly solution for 95 percent of driven distances for individual mobility needs. After all, on average, people only drive 35 kilometres per day by car - and with a mere average of 1.2 people. In other words: For average everyday needs, normal cars are basically oversized.
The Microlino therefore takes a different path and combines its deliberately minimalist mobility approach with a charming lifestyle design and high practicality for city and country. Vehicle weight and footprint are kept to a minimum to minimize environmental impact. At the same time, the powerful electric drive and the battery, available in three sizes, provide a direct, unadulterated driving experience and everyday ranges of up to 230 kilometres - enough to move around easily in urban and rural areas.
The Microlino is an electric vehicle in the L7e vehicle class and was specially developed for the urban environment. It is small, light and efficient – reducing not only energy consumption, but also saving on the important resource of space. With a length of just 2.52 metres, it can and is even allowed to park crosswise: It therefore requires only a third of the parking space of a conventional car. Due to the front door that opens forward, the occupants can then step directly onto the sidewalk.
Although the Microlino is not an automobile in the classical sense, it was developed according to automotive standards. It is the first light vehicle with a self-supporting steel and aluminium body – a solution that is safer and more durable than the tubular frames normally used in this vehicle class. Modern single-wheel suspension provides comfort and agility.
At the same time, the weight remains low: The Microlino has 50 percent fewer components than conventional cars and tips the scales at just 435 kilograms without the battery - accordingly low are the effects of vehicle production and use on the environment, especially in comparison with conventional electric cars.
The Microlino was conceived and developed by the Swiss company Micro, which once caused a stir with the legendary kick scooter and has since continued to develop new solutions for smart and resource-saving mobility. The vehicle is built by the Italian small series manufacturer CECOMP in Turin.
In addition to the Pioneer Edition with the medium 10.5 kWh battery version, which was available in Germany at prices starting from €22,690 right from the start, further model lines are now being added. The Edition Dolce (from €19,690) will be available in all three battery variants, while the Competizione (from €21,690) is available with the medium and large battery versions. The entry-level model starting at €17,690 will follow at a later date.
