Kristof Winckelmans Appointed as New PR Manager for Astara Western Europe

Mechelen, 14 October 2025 – Astara Western Europe has just appointed Kristof Winckelmans as the new PR Manager for Astara, Hyundai, and Maxus. Starting on 1 November 2025, Kristof will take over from Anne Potemans, who is moving on to a new professional challenge after a successful period with the company.

Anne Potemans has been leading Astara’s PR activities since 2022. After several memorable highlights — including Hyundai driver Thierry Neuville’s WRC world title in 2024 — she will soon be handing over the PR reins.

Kristof Winckelmans (38), a former automotive journalist who has been with Astara for over five years as a Product Manager, will now take the PR wheel. In his new role, Winckelmans brings a unique combination of media experience and in-depth knowledge of the company’s brands and products.
